Full coverage and analysis $385
You will receive an 8-10 page written critique and analysis. Premise, story line, structure, characters and dialogue will all be addressed. Both general and specific problem areas will be pointed out.
Suggestions for improving your script will be offered. This will include an overview, as well as "page notes" that deal with specific scenes, lines of dialogue or plot points. After reading the analysis you are welcome to call with follow-up questions.
Short coverage and analysis $195
Abbreviated version of the above service. 2-4 page written analysis highlighting strengths and weaknesses in premise, story line, structure, characters and dialogue. Suggestions for improvements. Follow-up phone or email consultation.
Pitch Preparation $150
Three half-hour phone consultations in which you'll create, refine and perfect your five-minute verbal pitch. On the final call you will "road test" the finished pitch and Jay will help you anticipate and deal with questions or objections that may come up.
Query letter $95
Via email Jay will assist you in developing a concise query letter that accurately presents your story idea, your own qualifications and a compelling reason for the reader to request your screenplay.
Screenwriter mentoring $650/month
Unlimited access to Jay's help and guidance on your projects and your screenwriting career. Assistance with shaping and defining your story premise, developing a compelling logline and synopsis, building/outlining a solid dramatic structure, writing and rewriting your screenplay until it completely delivers your vision of the movie. In addition you'll get help in building and shaping a professional career as a screenwriter.
Individual mentoring sessions $120/hour
One on one phone consultation. Offered in segments as brief as 15 minutes.
